It helps that there’s sunshine outside

Blue skies make me smile.
A little wind helps too
(my hat fits snugly on my head)
A smile, wide, makes my ears rise up,
(just a little, loosening my cap)
And a puff of air
(some would call it wind),
Dances around me, twirling, and swirling,
Teasing me,
Tickling me, so I give in, and
Laugh!
And my ears twitch
And my hat flies away and I
Watch, as that $30 souvenir
Catches a breeze and floats away
And I don’t care
(because the Boston Red Sox
don’t matter at all).
