Rosemarie D’Amico is coming to serious writing later in life than most. Although she wrote two novels more than twenty years ago, it’s taken retirement from paying work to enrolling at University and undertaking creative writing courses for her to finally get serious.
In the last two years, she’s discovered that she really can make sense out of words and has been trying her hand at previously unfamiliar genres – poetry, creative non-fiction, short stories, and plays. One of her short stories won second prize in a competition at Carleton University.
She’s partial to writing fiction and recently has taken one of her short stories and turned it into a full-length novel entitled “Edith’s Left On 45th Street,” for which she is now seeking representation.
